Help Us Keep the Past Present
The Lower Cape Fear Historical Society is responding to meet the educational, programming, and operational needs of this organization compromised by the Coronavirus pandemic. We are joining the #GivingTuesday initiative in an effort to promote the growing financial need and to support our fellow non-profit organizations impacted during this unprecedented time.
The Lower Cape Fear Historical Society has set a goal to raise $5,000 through this initiative that will be matched by others donating to the cause. A successful campaign will enable the LCFHS to continue to provide the educational programs to the Wilmington area as we have done since 1956. “At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe,” said Thomas Crittenden, president & CEO of the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society. “Generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. Not unlike many of those affected by COVID-19, the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society is appealing to our fellow Wilmingtonians to support this effort.” People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during #GivingTuesdayNow, whether it’s helping a neighbor, advocating for an issue, sharing a skill, or giving to causes, every act of generosity counts. The global movement will emphasize opportunities to give back to communities and causes in safe ways that allow for social connection even while practicing physical distancing. |
