Thank you to our Summer Intern 2016!

Alexa Pinto - Summer Intern 2016

The Lower Cape Fear Historical Society would like to thank Alexa Pinto for her hard work and dedication during her internship this summer.

During her time as an intern Ms. Pinto was able to clear up some misinformation regarding the origin of the artifacts she was restoring. Initially, the artifacts were thought to be from an excavation in Brunswick Town from 1950-1960 however through her research Ms. Pinto discovered the items were from an excavation done on the Latimer House and Gardens property in 1976. Below are some examples of the bottles she restored. There are several more items on display at the Latimer House and Gardens located at 126 S. 3rd St., Wilmington, NC 28401.
